Matic Network, the blockchain scaling solution provider behind Polygon, has witnessed a significant surge in the price of its native token, MATIC, following the launch of the Polygon zkEVM Beta.
The Polygon zkEVM Beta, unveiled on March 27, is a Layer 2 scaling solution that leverages zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) to enhance transaction speed and privacy on the Ethereum blockchain. The ZKPs allow for the efficient verification of a large number of transactions without revealing any sensitive data.
Since the Beta launch, the MATIC token has rallied by over 20%, reaching an intraday high of $0.93 on March 29. The surge in price reflects the growing excitement within the crypto community about the potential of zkEVM technology.
